BrandExtract Wins Three 2008 WebAwards in International Competition
The Web Marketing Association awarded three of its prestigious 2008 WebAwards to BrandExtract, LLC, an integrated branding and communications firm, for its work in the areas of Web design and development on behalf of three of its clients, Varel International, Uson and Dessert Gallery.
BrandExtract received one Outstanding and two Standard of Excellence awards for its work. More than 2,400 websites from 40 countries participated in the 2008 WebAwards competition across 96 industry categories.
In the manufacturing category, Varelintl.com won the award for Outstanding Web site with a score of 62 out of a possible 70 points with high marks in ease of use, copywriting, content, design, technology and interactivity. Uson.com received a Standard of Excellence award in the same category with a score of 55 points with a strong showing in design, content ease of use and copywriting.
In the food industry category, Dessertgallery.com received a Standard of Excellence award with a score of 59.5. Judges were impressed with the site's ease of use, content, design, copywriting and interactivity.
The WebAwards, now in its 12th year, is the premier annual Web site competition that names the best Web sites in 96 industries while setting the standard of excellence for all Web site development. Each site is judged on seven different criteria. Awards are given for Best of Industry, Outstanding Web site and Standard of Excellence.
