Tata Communications and Batelco Extend MPLS Network to Middle East

India-based Tata Communications has extended its MPLS network into the Middle East through a partnership with Bahrain Telecommunications Company.
According to Tata Communications, this partnership will enable it to offer MPLS (multi protocol label switching) VPN services into Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan and other locations within the region for its customers in the Middle East and elsewhere in the world.
The partnership with Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco) extends Tata's capability to provide MPLS services in 78 countries and with Extended Access Service via IPSec gateways, in over 150 countries.
Adel Daylami, general manager for business sales and products for Batelco, said: "We share the same goals of network expansion so our relationship with Tata Communications is a win-win for all - our corporations and our customers."
