Lockheed Martin Wins $125m US Navy Contract

Lockheed Martin's Maritime Systems and Sensors division has won a $125m contract from the US Navy to provide engineering and computer programming services to the Spanish government.
Under the contract, the company will develop, install and integrate the software for the Aegis Weapon System on the Spanish F-105 Frigate. It will also provide combat systems engineering, computer program development, ship integration and test, logistics technical services and staging support services.
The company said about 92% of the work will be performed in Moorestown, New Jersey and the rest in Spain. The work is expected to be completed by July 2012.
Earlier this month, the company won an $8.9m contract from the US Navy to produce and support Low Cost Conformal Arrays (LCCAs) for use on submarines. It also won a five-year $189m contract from US Navy for C4ISR Systems Lifecycle Support Services.
