WildBlue Selects DataPath(R) to Support Satellite Gateway Earth Stations That Provide High-Speed Internet Connectivity to Rural U.S. Communities

DULUTH, Ga., Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- DataPath, Inc., a leading provider of satellite and wireless communications networks around the world, has been selected by WildBlue Communications, Inc., the leading provider of broadband satellite service throughout rural America, to provide long-term operations and maintenance services. DataPath(R) services will support a network of 11 Ka band gateway earth stations at seven locations. These earth stations enable WildBlue Satellite Speed Internet(R) services, which provide affordable broadband Internet connectivity to consumers and businesses in remote or underserved areas in the contiguous United States.

Approximately 250 DataPath personnel in the company's services organization are deployed around the world to build and service satellite and wireless communications networks. DataPath's advanced network control software solution, the MaxView(R) Network Management System, also supports commercial media providers, including a number of the world's leading broadcasters.
