Tix Corporation Announces Its Sixth Las Vegas Discount Ticket Booth to Be Located in the Heart of Las Vegas

STUDIO CITY, Calif., Oct. 2, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Tix Corporation (Nasdaq:TIXC), a leading integrated entertainment company providing ticketing services, event merchandising and concert and theatrical productions, today announced that the Company’s subsidiary, Tix4Tonight LLC, has signed a lease for a new discount ticket booth located in Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon, formerly the Barbary Coast Hotel and Casino, owned by Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc.

The facility is located in the heart of the Las Vegas strip at the corner of Las Vegas Blvd. and Flamingo Road at a highly foot-trafficked intersection that includes other popular destinations such as Bally’s, the Bellagio and Caesars Palace. The facility is scheduled to open in October 2008.

“This is a great new location for us and complements our existing ticket facilities. We expect this new location will generate a significant number of ticket sales beginning in the fourth quarter of 2008 and beyond,” stated Mitch Francis, Chief Executive Officer. “In 2007 we sold 750,000 tickets for Las Vegas shows and we are on track to sell approximately one million tickets in 2008.”

In addition to the new location at Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall & Saloon, Tix4Tonight has five prime discount ticket booth facilities, strategically placed at highly foot-trafficked locations in Las Vegas, Nevada. They include the world famous giant glass Coke bottle on the Las Vegas Strip at the Showcase Mall in front of the MGM Grand Hotel, the Hawaiian Marketplace at the South end of the Strip, the Fashion Show Mall in front of Neiman Marcus, directly across the street from the Wynn Resort, North Strip, just South of the Riviera Hotel, and a downtown Las Vegas facility in the Four Queens Hotel, fronting onto the Fremont Street Experience.
