Posted on: Wednesday, 22 June 2005, 15:00 CDT
PAETEC Communications, Inc., today announced that it is teaming with Speakerbus, a leading provider of communications solutions to the financial industry, to provide a converged Internet Protocol (IP) desktop solution via Speakerbus' Intercom, Hoot & Holler, and Ring Down capable i-Series desktop technologies. The Speakerbus - PAETEC alliance will offer a wide range of on-premises, network-based, and hybrid solutions, and will allow for the migration to new technologies while continuing to integrate with existing equipment based on TDM technology.
"Leading edge products such as the Speakerbus i-Series allow us to leverage financial industry voice applications over our IP-based MPLS network," said Brad Bono, Chief Operating Officer at PAETEC. "This offers our mutual customers value through reduced costs, network diversity and security, and business continuity."
"The new i-Series IP technology will revolutionize the tools with which traders conduct their deals," stated Andy Wodhams, Group Managing Director of Speakerbus. "We now offer a drastically reduced equipment footprint and all of the associated savings, mobility, and a rapid return on investment that will delight both business managers and users."
The product suite will be demonstrated in both the Speakerbus booth (Number 1616) and the PAETEC booth (Number 1416) at the Securities Industry Association (SIA) Technology Management Conference, June 21 - 23 at the New York Hilton Hotel in New York City.
