Hempfield Man Accused of Using Internet to Solicit Teen
A 25-year-old Hempfield man who used the screen name “greensburghotboy” was charged with using an Internet chat room to solicit sex from an undercover agent posing as a 13-year-old Washington County girl, the state attorney general’s office announced Wednesday.
Justin Dean Wilhelm, of 182 W. Hills Drive, is being held at the Washington County Prison in lieu of $500,000 bond on charges of unlawful contact with a minor, criminal attempted unlawful contact with a minor, solicitation to commit unlawful contact with a minor and criminal use of a computer.
Wilhelm was arrested Friday in Canonsburg, where he allegedly traveled in a plan to meet who he thought was the teen girl to whom he sent digital photos of himself and photos of people performing sex acts.
Canonsburg District Judge David Mark scheduled a preliminary hearing for today.
Since January 2005, the attorney general’s criminal predator unit has arrested 167 people for internet-related crimes.
