Center Sets First Major Fundraiser

PASADENA – “A Musical Night on the Town: The American Song Book,” a night of music to benefit the Pasadena Senior Center, will be held at 6 p.m. Oct. 12 at center, 85 E. Holly St.

Honorary chairwoman for this special evening is Claire Bogaard.

Karen Benjamin, a soprano who starred in the Los Angeles production of “Phantom of the Opera,” and Alan Chapman, composer and noted KUSC-FM (91.5) radio host, will take the stage to perform the music of the great American songwriters and many others.

The cuisine of The Kitchen for Exploring Foods will be served, including wine, a light supper, dessert and coffee.

There will be cabaret seating for the performance. Hosted valet parking will also be provided.
