Joe Savage Appointed Senior Vice President By the Fiber-To-The-Home -FTTH- Council North America

The Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Council announced that Fiberoptic industry veteran Joe Savage will join the Council as Senior Vice President. Mr. Savage brings more than 35 years of executive level experience in telecommunications and optical networking to the position. Joe began his career in fiber optics in the 1970's, building the first fiber production facility at Western Electric in Norcross GA. Joe will work with all members of the FTTH Council and the international FTTH Councils to educate, promote, and accelerate fiber to the home and the resulting quality-of-life enhancements.
Leonard Ray, President of the Board of Director's of the Fiber-to-the-Home Council said "I am pleased that Joe Savage has joined our organization. The Council will look to his leadership skills and industry expertise to advance our mission of making fiber to the home a global reality."
Joe is a Professional Engineer, who received his B.E.E and M.S.E.E. from Georgia Tech. He has received patents for high-speed digital transmission cable design and for methods of avoiding Internet congestion in the PSTN.
