VULNERABLE and deprived children will have improved access to computers as part of a new initiative.
Computers will be installed in projects run by Barnardo's Cymru across South Wales in partnership with BT.
The charity's information services manager Tom Rees said the scheme would provide opportunities for the young people it helps.
He said: "Some of the young people Barnardo's works with have often been excluded from access to IT because of poverty, disability, disrupted care, issues with school attendance or a range of other factors. If these children and young people do not have the access to IT and skills that their peers do, they will be further disadvantaged in their adult life."
