Globo, a software-as-a-service solutions provider, has announced that it is to launch CitronGO!, a mobile communication software solution.
According to the company, CitronGO! will provide personal and professional users with ubiquitous computing on a single screen on any mobile phone or laptop - regardless of manufacturer, vendor or network. It is currently in beta testing and commercial launch is scheduled for early 2009.
Globo said that CitronGO! has been developed from its existing e-business, communications and software-as-a-service (SaaS) proprietary technologies. The key features include: all applications integrated onto a single screen - including social networking sites; synchronizing data over the air to provide push email, push contacts, push calendars, instant messaging, web storage cloud, Web 2.0 - social networking accounts, and file conversion.
Costis Papadimitrakopoulos, CEO of Globo, said: "Today, with more than three billion mobile subscriptions globally, the mobile handset is becoming the ultimate personal device for ubiquitous computing.
"CitronGO! introduces a new layer of interaction for end-users who can easily personalize the way they want to communicate with others - so as to share moments of their personal and professional life from anywhere, at anytime and using any device including their existing mobile phone. Building on our existing proprietary technologies, CitronGo! will represent a significant extension to our business when it is launched commercially in 2009."
