A Plum man was sentenced to three years in federal prison Tuesday on his conviction for possession of child pornography.

Regis H. Durkin, 58, possessed nearly 700 images and 61 videos of child pornography, U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan said in a release. Durkin paid between $80 and $100 per month to subscribe to child pornography Web sites in late 2006, Buchanan said.

U.S. District Judge Gary Lancaster imposed the sentence, which includes 10 years of supervised release.
