MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C., Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ — avVenta Worldwide, a leading provider of digital production and interactive services, announces the formation of an extensive partnership with Microsoft(R) to train and continually update avVenta employees in Microsoft’s Silverlight(TM) design and their other latest digital technologies. The program includes regular on-site courses that will be conducted jointly by avVenta and Microsoft trainers in avVenta’s near shore facilities, including its newly designed and technologically advanced, 45,000 square feet studio in San Jose, Costa Rica.

avVenta’s program with Microsoft enhances the company’s existing proprietary employee training program that gives avVenta’s specialized digital production workforce of 450 employees concentrated working expertise in the latest rich media design and interactive technologies. With a firm foundation of rigorous training and skill development programs, avVenta’s digital production studio teams are well-versed in the latest design and interactive applications such as Silverlight, Adobe Flash 8, Maya 8, Adobe After Effects CS3, Adobe Flex, Adobe AIR and Papervision3D.

“Training has always been a top priority at avVenta, and this partnership with Microsoft will ensure our expertise in the latest design applications like Silverlight,” said Jay Noce, Founder, Chairman and CEO of avVenta. “Our ongoing training programs are the backbone for our strong ability to deliver the very best in digital production and proven track record of scaling our services to meet the needs of our clients on short notice. Having partnerships with leaders like Microsoft allows us to stay ahead of the developing marketplace and continue building an army of next generation digital production experts.”

“Microsoft Silverlight is a cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device plug-in for delivering the next generation of media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web,” said Yuri Porras, ISV Regional Program Manager, Microsoft Multi Country Americas. “This partnership with avVenta is a useful way for us to let a broader swath of the web development community realize the full potential of this new development application. We are very pleased to enter this partnership.”
