ST. LOUIS, Oct. 9 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The St. Louis Chapters of the Direct Marketing Association and American Marketing Association, two of the leading professional associations for marketers, partnered together and held a recent summit on Internet Marketing. The one-day event, held October 3rd at the Ritz Carlton in St. Louis, attracted nearly 100 participants from many businesses around the St. Louis area.
Attendees were afforded a unique opportunity to learn from top level internet marketing strategy consultants on how to achieve better business performance through more effective internet marketing strategies. Ron Adelman of WSI, Chris Torbit of Blast Companies and Jim Durbin of Durbin Media Group helped participants explore critical strategies and tactics for successful internet marketing, including:
-- Pay Per Click - How to create powerful paid listing ads to target traffic that results in customer conversion. -- Search Engine Optimization - How to get your site in the top ten tier of traffic search engine listings in Google, Yahoo and others. -- Permission-Based Email - How to retain customers with the right message at the right time through an effective contact strategy. -- Social Marketing Media - How to utilize engagement marketing strategies, including brand placement in the social fabric of the web by creating a community around your brand.
"The internet continues to be a growing frontier as marketers struggle to incorporate the right opportunities into their overall marketing mix," said Jim Ruszala, educational chair of the Direct Marketing Association St. Louis. "Summit participants were incredibly engaged as they were afforded a great opportunity to learn about fresh, effective, relevant and demonstrated insights on effective internet marketing. A key learning for most was that there are certain marketing strategies that benefit better from specific internet marketing channels. Done right, there is great reward; but, done wrong, you're faced with both lackluster results and wasted spend. This summit helped further inform and guide participants down the right paths."
