Comdasys Announces Support of RIM’s Blackberry Devices for Its Mobile Convergence (FMC) Solution

The Mobile Convergence Controller and the MC Client work together to provide a single mobile device with the ability to communicate on both the local wireless LAN (WLAN, HotSpot) and on the public cellular network. When used with WLAN enabled mobile devices, the Mobile Convergence enables users to roam between the WLAN and cellular network without disruption.
Mobile Convergence extends PBX features to users also when they are on the cellular network, allowing them to make conference calls or to use internal PBX extension dialing. By adding Instant Messaging and Presence capability over cellular data channel and WiFi, the Mobile Convergence enables users to experience truly Unified Communication on their mobile handsets whenever they are connected to a cellular or WiFi network.
The Mobile Convergence solution is a PBX agnostic FMC solution that can be integrated into existing PBX or IP-PBX deployments. Mobile Convergence can be deployed as a dual-mode (Cellular – WLAN), a single mode (GSM, UMTS) or as a GSM only solution. In addition to Nokia Symbian devices, Mobile Convergence supports RIM’s Blackberry devices and Symbian based handsets of Samsung and LG.
