Accelrys to Develop Integrated Solution for Oil and Gas Company

A multi-national oil and gas company has selected business intelligence software provider Accelrys to develop an integrated solution which would enable this company's catalyst research scientists to both accelerate catalysis research and discovery and to improve the performance of the resulting catalysts.

Under the terms of the agreement, Accelrys's professional services team will design and develop a centralized database to enable data from multiple locations to flow into one database. The solution will utilize Accelrys's SciTegic Enterprise Server platform and will enable the collection, mining and analysis of data with intelligent decision support capabilities in order to accelerate the R&D process.

The solution is expected to be completed within the next 12 months and is anticipated to result in approximately a million dollars in revenues from software and services.
