Verimatrix will illustrate the capabilities of VCAS(TM) for DVB 2.0, which now incorporates software-based protection for traditional one-way broadcast networks where no direct return path is available. Support for Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) services can be seamlessly offered with the same pay-TV head-end architecture securing IPTV and hybrid networks.
The solution takes full advantage of current generation set-top box system-on-chip platforms to secure receiver devices with no direct return path to the head-end. Operators are able to support existing one-way subscribers while providing a clear upgrade path to capture higher ARPU subscribers who desire more interactive capabilities and video-on-demand (VOD) services.
