Computers, TV, Jewelry Taken in Break-In

BRAINTREE - Laptop computers, jewelry, a camera, a TV and a DVD player were among the items stolen from a home on the 400 block of Union Street, police said.

The homeowner told police that after returning at about 5 p.m. Wednesday, she noticed her rear screen door propped open and a broken pane of glass just above the doorknob on the kitchen door.

A neighbor heard a loud bang from the direction of the victim's home at about 10:30 a.m but saw no one, police said.

Another neighbor reported seeing two suspicious men in the area two weeks ago and again on Tuesday.

The two white males were 25 to 30 years old. One was about 5- foot-9, tall and thin. The other was about 5-foot-5 and heavyset.

They were driving a white pickup truck with bed racks.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 781-843-1212.
