Veraz Networks Selected By AlwaysOn As Top 100 Private Company Award Winner

Posted on: Tuesday, 28 June 2005, 12:00 CDT

Veraz Networks today announced that it has been chosen by AlwaysOn as one of the Top 100 Private Company award winners. Veraz was handpicked by the AlwaysOn editorial team based on a set of five criteria -- innovation, market potential, customer adoption, media buzz and investor value creation.

The AO 100 was selected from over 1,000 companies, peer-nominated by leading venture capitalists, investment bankers and industry analysts. The AO 100 consists of private companies at all stages of development, from early to late stage.

Veraz Networks is the leading provider of programmable softswitch and toll-quality VoIP telephony solutions for carriers. Veraz VoIP solutions are deployed in over 30 countries, and carry over 1 billion minutes of traffic per month. Over 700 carriers in 140 countries use Veraz's DCME equipment and carry over 21 billion minutes of telephony traffic per month. Veraz leverages open, best-of-breed components and a global support infrastructure to offer cutting-edge next-generation packet-based infrastructure and services solutions, based on its distributed architecture and services programmability. Veraz solutions enable interactions across any application, any network, and any device, including tandem switching, domestic & international long distance, IP trunking, IP Centrex, VPN, Pre/Post paid calling card platforms, integrated managed user services, and new multimedia services.

"The AO 100 companies are shaping today's web-driven, connected environment," said Tony Perkins, founder and editor of AlwaysOn. "We were inundated with nominations from leading companies, many of which I hope will appear on our list next year. My congratulations to each AO 100 winner -- these are the companies which we predict will have the greatest market traction, strongest innovation and most game-changing approaches this year."

"We are both excited and greatly honored to have been selected as an AO 100 winner," said Doug Sabella, President and CEO of Veraz Networks. "We have experienced tremendous growth over the past 12 months and it is very satisfying to have that achievement recognized by our industry."

The AO 100 will be honored at the AO2005: Innovation Summit at a VIP reception at 5:00 p.m. on July 19, 2005, at the Frances C. Arrillaga Alumni Center on the Stanford University campus in Palo Alto, California.
