Deltacom Announces Increased Market Availability for Its Integrated IP-Enabled Voice and Data Services
HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Oct. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — ITC^DeltaCom, Inc. , a leading provider of integrated communications services to customers in the southeastern United States, today announced the completion of a network upgrade that immediately enables up to 6Mbps of dynamically allocated bandwidth for integrated Internet access, site-to-site MPLS data, and IP-enabled local and long distance voice in twelve new markets. The technology is now fully available to 85% of Deltacom’s footprint, a significant expansion of the service’s previous sixteen-market footprint.
The service is offered with Deltacom’s Simplici-T(SM) family of T-1 voice and data packages and with its Simpli-Business(SM) product that combines voice and data network services, NEC phone systems, Lexmark printers, and Lenovo towers and laptops. With 3Mbps, 4.5Mpbs and 6Mbps connectivity options, the service delivers dynamic bandwidth allocation for voice, data and Internet applications by utilizing Deltacom’s private MPLS network for reliable transmission of voice and data traffic.
“We help our customers meet their needs for high-speed data connectivity and Internet access without the purchase of separate connections and equipment,” said Lee A. Kimball, Deltacom’s Senior Vice President of Marketing. “With continued increase in demand for Internet and data services, this integrated solution enables our customers to efficiently converge voice and data networks with a bundled solution that provides the dynamic allocation they need to meet their specific traffic mix requirements.”
Deltacom’s integrated, IP-enabled voice and data service offers customers the benefit of dynamic bandwidth allocation so that any unused voice capacity is always automatically available for data, plus guaranteed symmetrical download and upload speeds. In addition, voice traffic is always prioritized, enabling high-quality voice transmissions that are not impacted by data bursts.
