WHO: Doug Camplejohn, founder and CEO of Mi5 Networks. Mr. Camplejohn is an expert on Web security as well as Internet and datacenter technologies. Mi5 Networks was named an "Innovator of the Year" by SC Magazine in 2007. This is Mr. Camplejohn's second venture. His first company, digital music locker service MyPlay, was acquired by Bertelsmann in 2001. WHAT: The Tepper School of Business invited Mr. Camplejohn to present on a special faculty/alumni seminar panel entitled "Launching and Building Entrepreneurial Ventures: The State of Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital". Mr. Camplejohn will present his experiences, lessons learned, and recommendations for starting and growing a successful venture. He will focus on the importance of identifying a market need, assembling the right team, raising venture capital, and developing and following a successful business plan. He will also discuss developing winning strategies for the highly competitive information technology sector.
