United Nations Organization Selects Global Telecom & Technology to Provide Connectivity Solutions in the Middle East and Europe

Posted on: Thursday, 16 October 2008, 18:00 CDT

Global Telecom & Technology, Inc. ("GTT"), (OTCBB:GTLT), a global Multi-Network Operator, announced today that a United Nations organization ("UN") has selected GTT to provide wide area network (WAN) solutions to numerous locations across the Middle East and Europe.

The multi-year, multi-million dollar contract calls for GTT to deploy a secure, MPLS-based network to interconnect several key UN office locations in Israel, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Italy, and Switzerland. GTT will integrate this WAN solution with the UN's existing Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) network to provide state of the art network redundancy and resiliency.

In addition to providing the UN with additional bandwidth and network intelligence, GTT will supply, install, and manage the network equipment to support each accompanying UN site. This UN subsidiary provides direct relief and works programs for Palestinian refugees including health care, schools, and distribution of food and clothing aid.

"GTT is very excited to work with the United Nations," said Richard D. Calder, Jr., GTT's president and CEO. "We continue to focus on the delivery of customized network solutions into difficult and sensitive parts of the world requiring telecommunications integrity. This network solution underscores GTT's core competency - providing multi-carrier and multi-service bandwidth solutions to customers around the globe with more flexibility than any single facilities-based carrier."
