PHILADELPHIA and LONDON, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The Scientific business of Thomson Reuters today announced that ISI Web of Knowledge and EndNote Web are now available in Simplified Chinese. The user-friendly interface provides every step, from research and analysis to submission and publishing, in the local language.
"China is at the forefront of research in Asia Pacific," said David Liu, senior director and head of China Regional Business Unit, Asia Pacific at Thomson Reuters. "Making ISI Web of Knowledge available in local language will increase the efficiency and productivity of researchers in China and internationally alike as they collaborate to advance global science. Our Scientific business is committed to making global content more accessible and always relevant to the communities we serve by adding local content and enhancing the user interface."
"These are just some of the many Thomson Reuters information solutions to be translated into various global languages," said Keith MacGregor, EVP Academic and Government Markets, Thomson Reuters. "As local research becomes more influential, it is necessary to provide quality data and functionalities in local language where possible to meet the needs of an ever increasing and diversified scientific community."
ISI Web of Knowledge, an integrated, versatile research platform, delivers easy access to high quality, diversified scholarly information in the sciences, social sciences, and arts and humanities, as well as search and analysis tools that enhance this content. The platform provides users the ability to search the right content and find relevant information for discovery and research evaluation -- whether that information is found in international journals, open access resources, books, patents or proceedings.
EndNote Web makes organizing and citing references a simple task so users at any level can concentrate on their content. The new design, complementary to ISI Web of Knowledge, is the result of researching how users work with technology to deliver an effortless experience.
