Posted on: Wednesday, 22 October 2008, 15:00 CDT
CompanionLink Software, a leader in mobile synchronization solutions, introduces two-way data synchronization with the T-Mobile G1 -- the first Google Android phone. CompanionLink's products support synchronization of contacts, calendar, and tasks between popular desktop contact management software and Google Android phones.
CompanionLink for Google Android works seamlessly with Google's web-based services and the Google Android platform. The software allows T-Mobile G1 users to access and edit contacts, calendar events, recurring appointments, and tasks directly on their device. The software supports two-way synchronization between Google Android phones and Microsoft Outlook, IBM Lotus Notes, Novell GroupWise, ACT! by Sage, FrontRange GoldMine, and Palm Desktop.
Contacts, calendar, and tasks are synchronized with the user's Google account and the T-Mobile G1 device. Two-way synchronization allows users to make changes to their data on their T-Mobile G1 and have their Google account and desktop software automatically updated. The synchronization of data occurs wirelessly with the device, so no user intervention is required.
"Google Android is a step forward in mobile productivity and seamless integration with Google's popular services," said Rushang Shah, Director of Marketing at CompanionLink Software. "In staying true to our culture of innovation, we're proud to release a synchronization solution for the Android platform the same day as the public availability of these phones. We're fully committed to supporting Android phones as they make their mark in the consumer and business worlds."
CompanionLink for Google Android is available on the company's website for $29.95. For more information about synchronizing data with Android devices, please visit: companionlink.com/android.
