JAAS Systems and vSync Launch Release Accounting Solution Targeted to Tier II and Tier III Automotive Suppliers; Solution to Be Featured at Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference

Posted on: Thursday, 30 June 2005, 09:00 CDT

JAAS Systems and vSync have partnered together to offer a Release Accounting solution for MBS Solomon which will be featured in Microsoft's MBS Theatre at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference July 7 - 10th in Minneapolis.

"The automotive and vehicle manufacturing segments are going through some tough times - which presents opportunity for the MBS Solomon market," said Fred Szumlic, Vice President of Sales & Market for JAAS Systems. "As OEMs and Tier I suppliers tighten their belts and drive supply chain compliance initiatives downstream to Tier II and III suppliers, MBS Solomon, when combined with the JAAS and vSync offerings produce a cost effective total solution specifically for that market."

"Today Tier II and Tier III suppliers are losing efficiencies hand keying data into their systems to meet customer driven mandates," said Bill Knapp, President of vSync. "The JAAS Manufacturing System, which is fully integrated with MBS Solomon, will now provide Tier II and Tier III manufacturers with the ability to streamline the release accounting process. EDI compliant business processing will now be available at a price point that lower tier suppliers can afford. This solution will enable those suppliers to grow their business and compete on their ability to meet customer mandates."

The JAMS Release Accounting module enables automotive suppliers to increase order accuracy, planning and scheduling - a critical capability required by customers of Tier II and Tier III suppliers.

The Release Accounting solution was selected by Microsoft to be featured at Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference July 7-10th in Minneapolis. The Release Accounting solution and the JAAS Manufacturing System will be one of 14 industry-specific solutions showcased at the Microsoft MBS Industry Theatre.

"We look to independent software vendors (ISVs) like JAAS and vSync to present niche solutions that better align Microsoft Business Solutions financial management applications to industry-specific requirements," said David Weger, Automotive Industry Senior Product Manager for Microsoft. "The JAAS and vSync partnership targets the Tier II and Tier III suppliers, positioning Solomon as the solution of choice for performance, agility, supply chain compliance and affordable adaptability."
