GENBAND to Speak on Advances in Wireless Technologies Such As Femtocells at Futurecom International Seminar in Brazil
GENBAND Inc., a market-leading developer of next-generation IP infrastructure solutions, today announced that Sanjay Bhatia, Director of Product Line Management, will speak on wireless technology advances at Futurecom's Tenth Edition International Seminar held in Sao Paulo at the Transamerica Expo Center from October 27th - 30th. The speech takes place October 30th at 10:00 a.m. in the Argentina Conference Room.
Mr. Bhatia plans to address a range of promising wireless technologies and opportunities such as femtocells, and WiMax. Femtocells are small router-like devices that connect to a home or business broadband line and enable subscribers to use their standard 3G mobile handset to obtain voice and data services from the mobile service provider. Through partnerships with several of the world's leading equipment manufacturers, today GENBAND's media and security gateways are integral parts of at least 12 active femtocell trials around the world.
Futurecom is one of the most important IT sector and telecom events in Latin America. Last year, representatives from 35 countries and more than 340 panelists and speakers discussed and analyzed the latest technological, entrepreneurial, regulatory and market trends.
