Yahoo to Open Data Center in Nebraska
Yahoo has announced plans to open a new data center and a customer care center in Nebraska.
The company is expected to invest approximately $100m in the facility, which will create 100 new jobs. The project will involve the construction of a 150,000 square-foot data center in Omaha. The move allows Yahoo to apply for various business incentives and tax breaks under the state’s Nebraska Advantage Tier 4 business incentives package.
Google is also constructing a $600m data center in Nebraska and Microsoft has committed a $500m investment.
