LSI Surpasses 4 Million Multi-Service Port Shipments
MILPITAS, Calif., Oct. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- LSI Corporation today announced that it has shipped more than 4 million multi-service processor (MSP) ports enabling synchronous optical networking (SONET)/synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH), ATM and Ethernet applications. Multi-service processors are essential links in the telecommunications chain that demultiplex high-bandwidth data and voice transmissions, creating a vital bridge from the network core to metro and access networks.
