At Futurecom 2008, UNYK Promises to Supersize Mobile Carrier ARPU With Their New Mobile Sync Solution
This morning at Futurecom 2008 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, UNYK.com, the smart address book counting over 10 million users, presented their UNYK Mobile Sync. solution, allowing them to deliver new benefits for users and operators, based on the knowledge that portability triggers the growth of address books and increases ARPU.
"Our 7 Million and growing Latin American user base welcomes the solution. Indeed, results from a survey recently conducted show that 72% of our Latin American users are interested in synchronizing their online address book with their mobile phones" says Sebastien Brault, CEO of UNYK.
UNYK Mobile Sync. for which a beta version will be launched at the end of November, will allow users to integrate their contacts and all their contacts' information in their phone (personal, business, phone numbers, email, addresses, instant messenger ID and pictures) from over 20 social networks and major traditional contact management platforms (Outlook, Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, Orkut etc.). Simple and universal, the solution is compatible with over 1,200 models of mobile phones. Phone configurations are sent through a simple SMS, and the users' mobile is then synched with his UNYK smart address book using SyncML technology. The synchronization takes place "over the air", providing users with an up-to-date address book on their mobile phone.
For mobile operators, large and fully updated address books are crucial, as they have a direct impact on the volume of voice and text communications, as well as increase the use of diverse value-added services. "Our strength stems from the fact that we are presenting a solution that takes into account market demand and ARPU challenges for Latin American operators," says Marcela Diaz, spokesperson for UNYK in Latin America.
