CHICAGO, Oct. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The Wall Street Journal Office Network (The WSJ Office Network) announced it is expanding into Miami. 1111 Brickell Office, LLC has agreed to install its network into the company's 524,000 sq. ft. Mellon Financial Center property in that city. The Wall Street Journal Office Network has now installed or has commitments to install The Network in 700 top office properties in 15 U.S. markets before the end of the year.
Developed by Office Media Network (OMN) and Dow Jones & Company, The WSJ Office Network delivers up-to-the-minute news, building communications and highly targeted digital advertising through high-definition flat screens located in the lobbies and elevators of premier office buildings across the country.
"The Network's addition at the Mellon Financial Center underscores the importance that owners and managers of showcase properties place on providing unique and beneficial offerings as key differentiators," said Jim Harris, chief executive officer of Office Media Network. "Mellon Financial Center has a long history of going more than a step beyond with respect to customer service. We are proud that the company has chosen The Network as a lynchpin of that ongoing commitment."
The agreement also provides Mellon Financial Center Management agent MD Datran Management, Inc. added leverage in attracting leading corporate tenants in the highly competitive Miami market.
"We've already received a tremendous response from our tenants about The WSJ Office Network's news and information content, especially given the dynamic nature of the nation's economy," said Arturo L. Fernandez, RPA, and General Manager of the Mellon Financial Center. "We are particularly pleased with The Network's communications capabilities, which enable the display of such building and safety information as fire drills and to alert building occupants about dangerous weather conditions. It has already been a highly useful amenity."
Mellon Financial Center is a 30-story high-rise Class "A" Commercial Office Building and is owned by TESTA, an entity based out of Madrid, Spain.
MD Datran Management, Inc., working in conjunction with Flagler Real Estate Properties, has maintained the property successfully at 99.5 percent leased. The property has more than 35 Fortune 500 companies which employ over 1,200 individuals.
