Cisco Earns Two SSPA STAR Awards for Its Consumer Customer Service

IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cisco(R) today announced that it has received two STAR awards from the Service and Support Professional Association (SSPA), commemorating superior customer service for its Linksys by Cisco products. The award recipients were announced by the SSPA during its fall conference "Winning Service Strategies in a Shifting Global Economy" in Las Vegas this past week.

Cisco Consumer Business Group's (CBG) service excellence is recognized by a STAR in each of the following categories:

-- Outstanding Improvement, for the greatest increase in support quality within an underperforming operation, demonstrated by multi-quarter improvement in customer satisfaction scores and support productivity performance metrics -- Customer Support, for its care of high volumes of inbound and outbound customer interactions, with an emphasis on problem avoidance, Web and voice self-service, and streamlined incident handling -- Cisco CBG was further honored as a finalist in the Innovative Support category, for its new, enhanced tools and systems providing technical support to customers

Companies seeking these awards underwent a rigorous evaluation process, with the winners selected by SSPA's Advisory Board members.
