ABC Radio Networks and Comcast Entertainment Group Announce Product Development and Distribution Agreement for E! Entertainment, The Style Network and G4
DALLAS, Oct. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- ABC Radio Networks and Comcast Entertainment Group announced today the companies have signed a product development and distribution agreement that will bring the popular branded content from E! Entertainment, The Style Network and G4 to terrestrial radio audiences for the first time. Program offerings will include celebrity and entertainment news from E!, women's lifestyle programming from Style and the latest on technology, web culture and video games from G4. All content will be available to stations on-air and online.
"This agreement is another vital step in our commitment to delivering compelling content for the 18-49 demographic to our affiliates and will provide stations with an array of broadcast and online entertainment features and tools," said Carl Anderson, Senior Vice President of Programming and Distribution for ABC Radio Networks. "E!, Style and G4 are highly recognized brands among young consumers and based on their name recognition alone, we expect there will be strong interest for the radio content we'll be jointly developing with the team at Comcast Entertainment Group.""We are excited to work with ABC Radio Networks to bring our brands to terrestrial radio," said John Najarian, Executive Vice President of Digital Media and Business Development for Comcast Entertainment Group. "Their team has a proven track record of successfully syndicating content and we look forward to offering our fans a new way to connect with and enjoy E!, Style and G4 programming."
E! is widely regarded as the top television destination for entertainment news and information and E! Online is the leading source for up-to-the-minute celebrity scoop on the web. Tapping into the resources and dynamic on-air talent from the network and website, E! will offer stations a compelling array of radio-formatted news and information content in addition to proven broadband video content for stations' websites. With original shows created for radio and digital platforms such as E! News Now, the programming will provide instant credibility with a station's listeners, many of whom are likely already devoted E! enthusiasts.
Style's original offerings will appeal to women with inspiring and relatable lifestyle content, including Style Tips, which will cover topics like beauty, fashion, home and wedding planning. G4's original programming will offer content for today's "plugged in" young guys seeking the latest computer, gadget and technology news in addition to video game previews, reviews and cheats.
The radio programming developed from the partnership is expected to draw advertisers seeking the highly desirable segment of consumers that make up the E!, Style and G4 audiences.
