Verizon Upgrades Entry-Level High Speed Internet Service

Verizon Communications has upgraded its entry-level high speed internet service to 1Mbps downstream and 384kbps upstream, up from 768Kbps/128 Kbps. It has also expanded the availability of the service nationwide.

The high speed internet service connection is claimed to deliver download speeds of up to 7.1Mbps. According to the company, effective immediately, consumers can order the new entry-level service for $9.99 per month for the first six months with a one-year contract. Under the contract, monthly pricing for the remainder of the annual plan will range between $19.99 and $25.99 depending on the market.
