Fibernet Inaugurates Internet Services Over UTOPIA Fiber-Optic Network

November 5, 2008

Fibernet, a US-based diversified internet service company, has inaugurated services on Utah Telecommunication Open Infrastructure Agency’s fiber-optic network.

Todd Marriott, CEO of Utah Telecommunication Open Infrastructure Agency (UTOPIA), said: “Fibernet’s impressive array of internet services is a perfect match for UTOPIA’s 100% fiber-optic network. Fibernet has always been a pacesetter in the breadth and quality of their services, and we will be excited to watch how they leverage UTOPIA’s ultra-broadband capacity to the benefit of their customers. This kind of business development highlights some of the benefits the UTOPIA open service provider network provides to its member communities.”

Lee Livingston, CFO of Fibernet, said: “UTOPIA enables us to cost-effectively provide our customers with virtually unlimited bandwidth over a carrier-class network. This will add significant value to our co-location, web hosting and other internet services.”
