Analogic Corporation Appoints Dr. Rolf Hupke President of China Operations

Jim Green, President and Chief Executive Officer of Analogic Corporation (NASDAQ: ALOG), announced today that Dr. Rolf Hupke has joined the Company as President of Analogic's China Operations and that Nathan Li has been appointed Director of China Business Development. Dr. Hupke will be based in Shanghai and develop service and manufacturing capabilities in China to support our growing customer base there. Mr. Li will focus on strengthening our existing customer relationships in the region and developing new sales opportunities.

Prior to his appointment, Dr. Hupke served as Vice President of Siemens Limited and Director of Corporate Quality Management, where he was responsible for strategic development within its healthcare division and for the implementation and control of global Siemens quality regulations for all business groups in China.

Dr. Hupke previously served as Director of Global Computed Tomography (CT) Marketing and Sales for Siemens, establishing the company's sales channels in China, and was later appointed CEO and President of Siemens Shanghai Medical Equipment, Ltd., where he created divisions for developing and manufacturing CT scanners, medical components, and X-ray and angiography equipment, as well as for customer service. Dr. Hupke holds a Diploma in Physics and earned a Doctor Rerum Naturalium in Theoretical Physics from the University of Erlangen in Germany.

Mr. Li most recently served as Sales Director of High Power Systems at Copley Controls Corporation, based in Canton, Massachusetts, acquired by Analogic in April 2008. Prior to that he served as Senior Technical Marketing Manager at Axsun Technologies, based in Billerica, Massachusetts. Mr. Li holds a Master of Science from Boston University and a Bachelor of Science from Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China.
