Fujitsu Siemens Computers has won a contract from oil and gas group OMV to provide IT infrastructure services across 30 countries in central Europe. Datamonitor estimates the contract to be worth $75m over three years.
The company will be responsible for OMV’s network of servers and the international coordination of its trade operations.
Jens-Peter Seick, senior vice president of Enterprise Server Business at Fujitsu Siemens Computers, said: “OMV selected Fujitsu Siemens Computers because of our IT competence as well as our flexibility to exactly meet their individual needs, coupled with the advantage of sharing a similar cultural background.”
