Comarco’s Adapter for the Lenovo ThinkPad Notebook Computer Receives ‘Good Design’ Award
LAKE FOREST, Calif., Nov. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Comarco, Inc. today announced that its ChargeSource(R) "slim and light" universal power adapter, designed specifically for use with the Lenovo ThinkPad notebook computer has received the "Good Design" award. The ChargeSource Lenovo ThinkPad 90W Slim AC/DC Combo Adapter was the only accessory to receive the Good Design Award, granted each year by the Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization.
The "Good Design" awards program, instituted by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry in Japan in 1958, recognizes products across a range of applications, including industrial design, architecture, the environment and communications. Products are evaluated based on a "Good Design Selection System." Awards are based on ingenuity and technical advancement as well as the benefits the products bring to everyday life."It is an enormous honor that the 'slim and light' ChargeSource adapter has been recognized with such a significant award," said Sam Inman, president and CEO of Comarco. The ChargeSource adapter is currently an accessory for Lenovo's line of notebook computers. It offers a slim, light, modular design. Comarco began shipments to Lenovo of the "slim and light" ChargeSource adapter in early 2008. The Company recently announced that it had won Lenovo's business for its next-generation, cost-optimized ChargeSource "slim and light" universal power adapter. Shipments of the new adapter to Lenovo are scheduled to begin in the second quarter of calendar 2009.
