IMIX Americas to Debut New Workstation Software at RSNA 2008
IMIX Americas Inc., a provider of innovative digital radiography (DR) systems, today introduced new workstation software with an enhanced user interface that delivers improved workflow and productivity. The new software–the first to allow the seamless integration of CCD, CR, and flat panel components–will be demonstrated at the 2008 Radiological Society of North America meeting in Chicago, Nov. 30-Dec. 4 (Booth 5865).
Designed for all IMIX Americas’ DR products, the software offers intuitive graphical workflow from patient entry through exam planning and image analysis. With integrated generator and detector control, the software features touch-screen operation, professional image viewer, multi-media exam positioning guide, integrated HIS/RIS communication, and CR reader control. It also includes comprehensive measurement packages and DICOM 3.0 work list query, store and send functions, as well as the ability to record macros for frequently repeated exams.
Sigrid Smitt-Jeppesen, president and chief executive officer of IMIX Americas, said the updated software reflects the company’s commitment to innovation and focus on improving efficiencies for customers. “A fully functional, easy-to-use graphical user interface is vital and can have a significant positive impact on workflow and radiologist efficiency,” Smitt-Jeppesen said. “We work continuously to identify customer needs so we can provide technology solutions like our new software, which offers greater control over patient workflow at the radiology review workstation.”
Smitt-Jeppesen said the software also features several upgrade options designed to further increase workflow and efficiency, including an image stitching module, support for a second monitor, DICOM 3.0 retrieve and print capability, and distribution of images on a patient disc.
At the RSNA 2008 meeting, IMIX Americas also will unveil:
— The new IMIXhorizon SomaRad DR system designed for smaller facilities that require a compact, affordable DR solution. The SomaRad features fully motorized positioning, remote control functionality, and high image quality. In addition, this new general radiography system requires only 8 feet of ceiling height clearance, making it ideal for smaller clinics.
— The new IMIXhorizon ChiroRad DR system, created to address workflow challenges within a chiropractic environment. The ChiroRad, the first entry from IMIX Americas into the chiropractic market, offers a compact, sleek system at an affordable price. It features two motorized stands for tube and detector, providing superior image quality and reliability.
