November 12, 2008

Volt Workforce Solutions, a staffing business unit of Volt Information Sciences, Inc. will present at this year’s CA World 08 Conference in Las Vegas, November 16-20, 2008. CA World is a leading education and networking conference for Computer Associates’ customers and partners. Dr. James McCaffrey, senior director of Volt Technical Resources, a division of VWS, will discuss “Use of CA ERwin Data Modeler and LINQ to Simplify SQL Server Database Development.”

“The ability to design robust databases and efficiently test their functionality is crucial in today’s IT environment,” says McCaffrey. “Original software engineering techniques developed by Volt combine CA’s ERwin SQL database design tool with Microsoft’s SQL Server and LINQ technology to dramatically improve database development.”

Topics covered in Dr. McCaffrey’s presentation include: 1) Learn exactly what the new LINQ technology is; 2) How to design robust databases; and 3) When an ERwin + LINQ approach is beneficial and when alternate approaches are preferable.
