Superpages.Com Enhances Consumer Experience, Adding Real-Time Price and Inventory Information at Local Retailers

Posted on: Wednesday, 12 November 2008, 09:00 CST

Krillion(TM), a premier provider of local shopping search information, and Idearc Media Corp., home to Superpages.com(R) and the Verizon(R) Yellow Pages, today announced an agreement to create a superior consumer experience on Superpages.com by providing a simplified way to research and buy products on the Web for pickup at a local retailer.

Consumers searching on Superpages.com can now find great in-store deals from large retailers like Wal-Mart, Home Depot and Target. Select business profiles on Superpages.com now feature a link, "Check Local Inventory for Great Deals," which leads shoppers to up-to-the-minute product inventory and pricing information from over 40,000 retail locations across the country.

Through relationships with manufacturers, publishers and e-tailers, Krillion enables consumers to find up-to-the-minute local availability and pricing information from leading national retailers, and then buy the product online before driving to a local store to pick it up.

The powerful combination of the Krillion Localization Engine(TM), localized search results covering over 150 product categories and Krillion's real-time StockCheck(TM) tool, enables consumers to reduce the time from researching a product to purchasing it, and take advantage of convenient in-store pickup services offered by many retailers near them.

"Krillion makes it possible for consumers searching on Superpages.com to answer the question 'Where can I buy it now and pick it up today?'" said Joel Toledano, CEO of Krillion. "Our localized product search results and Superpages.com's quality consumer traffic connect more ready-to-buy consumers with retailers that provide in-store product availability nationwide."

This agreement is the latest consumer experience enhancement on Superpages.com; users can also read user reviews and provide their own content including rating and reviewing local businesses, reporting incorrect business information and blogging about a business. Superpages.com has more than 550,000 user-generated content entries.

In 2007, Superpages.com had 17 million small-to-medium-sized business listings in the United States, more than 10 million of which featured enhanced content. This past year the Superpages.com network of sites received nearly 5 billion network searches.
