HP Adds LSI Storage Virtualization to New Platform
Hewlett-Packard has added LSI's StoreAge Storage Virtualization Manager technology suite, which provides storage virtualization, advanced replication, thin provisioning, and data migration capabilities, to its new HP StorageWorks SAN Virtualization Services Platform, SVSP.
It said this will give customers a heterogeneous storage consolidation and data migration platform to improve performance, reduce costs, and deliver flexible disaster-recovery capabilities.
Flavio Santoni, executive vice president and co-general manager of Engenio Storage Group at LSI, said: "LSI and HP have a long history of collaboration and we're delighted to work together to bring the significant benefits of our fifth-generation storage virtualization technology to the HP StorageWorks SAN Virtualization Services Platform. As a result, HP customers will now be able to reduce the complexity of managing heterogeneous storage infrastructures while realizing greater efficiency."
