Network Box Wins C3 Expo ''Enterprise Services'' Best of Show Award

Network Box, a leading provider of Internet unified security management solutions, earned the Enterprise Services Best of Show Award at this week's Corporate & Channel Computing (C3) Expo held at the Javits Center in New York City.
Scott Rosen, President of Network Box for North America observed, "Network Box has been protecting small, medium-sized and enterprise customers with unified threat management services for over five years. In the face of rapidly evolving threats, it is critical for Network Box to continue to enhance and adapt our services to meet ever-growing security challenges. It is therefore gratifying that in making their assessment, the C3 Expo judges found our services to offer best of breed protection for enterprise customers."
In presenting the award to Network Box, Tom Henderson, Managing Director of ExtremeLabs and one of C3's judges, commented, "Today's network security and network management needs have spawned multiple independent industries, each of which protects one piece or component. Network Box collapses these myriad devices into a single set of appliances sized by traffic, and refocuses security, intrusion detection, and identity/encryption management into a single appliance." Mr. Henderson went on to say that Network Box services should be a "thrill for administrators ... going crazy from trying to unite their security applications."
Network Box services are delivered through its line of state-of-the-art integrated security appliances that are managed by a global network of security operations centers operated on a 24x7 basis. These centers monitor the health of every Network Box security installation and keep them up to date in real time. "From the time we identify a new potential threat and have a countermeasure prepared, until all our clients' networks are updated and protected is typically less than 45 seconds. Companies, institutions and governments in Asia and Europe have come to rely on this constant vigilance, and we are now building momentum in North America," added Mr. Rosen.
Network Box has been refining their technology since 1999 and now manages the security of customer networks in twenty-six countries.
Mr. Rosen further explained, "Crucial to our success has been that our appliances were designed based on two overriding principles: First, that security threats need to be addressed holistically and therefore the various components of security - firewall, intrusion prevention, anti-virus, anti-spam, anti-spyware, VPN, content filtering, etc. - must be completely integrated and interoperate seamlessly. Second, our appliances had to have an extremely flexible architecture to facilitate remote updating and administration and therefore allow rapid and effective adaptation to new and emerging threats.
"This platform allows us to offer a comprehensive, remotely managed service that in turn lets customers approach their computer network security in a similar way to their office's physical security. Like an alarm system - Network Box provides locally installed protection devices that are remotely monitored and managed on a continual basis by experienced personnel. Combined with a global network that follows the sun in maintaining a constant vigil against new threats as they arise around the globe, Network Box can remove the complexities of network security management from companies' already over-burdened IT activities, and give clients the peace of mind of knowing that their digital assets are under constant protection."
Network Box offers an array of appliances and service levels to manage computer networks of all types from small to medium sized enterprises up to large-scale highly distributed Fortune 500 operations. The C3 Expo "Best in Enterprise Services" award was made based on an examination of the product and services offering including technical and business interviews with the finalists.
