Jobg8, an Innovative Pay-for-Performance Network and Marketplace for Internet Job Boards, Launches in the United States

Posted on: Wednesday, 3 December 2008, 13:44 CST

PORTLAND, Maine, Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Jobg8, a new tool for internet job boards that creates a network of jobs and qualified candidates, has launched in the United States. The sophisticated application, created in the United Kingdom, allows a job board to increase the number of jobs listed on their web site while maintaining their brand to employers and job seekers. Jobg8 creates an online network in which Job Boards can distribute their jobs to other Job Boards who can then provide qualified candidates for those positions. Job Boards decide if they want to use the network to distribute their jobs, or use the network to acquire additional targeted job postings.

Jobg8 is a network for all jobs but only provides qualified candidates to a potential employer through an advanced screening process job seekers use when they apply online. Job boards that sign up for the Jobg8 network to distribute jobs and increase job views will only incur a fee when qualified candidates are delivered to their client. Jobg8 provides a new revenue opportunity for job boards as well. Boards that use the job content are paid when their qualified job seekers apply for one of these Jobg8 postings on their site. Jobg8 delivers a viable and cost effective solution where all costs are incurred on a transactional Pay for Performance basis.

"With more than 40,000 job boards in the U.S. market; this software will help job boards be more effective in matching a qualified job seeker with an employer locally, regionally, nationally or internationally", said Robbie Cowling, Chief Executive Officer and founder of Jobg8. "The unique design of the system ensures that the important relationship between a job seeker, employer and the job board is fully protected while generating quality results for the client while adding a revenue stream to the boards that supply the candidates. It's a win-win situation for all entities of the industry."

Cowling is also CEO and founder of JobServe, one of the largest job boards in the United Kingdom with offices in four additional countries including Australia, Canada, Thailand and the United States.

"We are also very pleased to announce that Matt Hoffner has agreed to come on-board to lead the development of the U.S. market. This month Matt will be opening a U.S. office headquartered in Portland, Maine and will be in charge of all U.S. operations" Matt Hoffner was the CEO of JobsInTheUS.com, a very successful regional network of job boards that led the local markets in multiple states.

Peter Tuttle, president of CareerBoard.com in Cleveland, added, "Jobg8 adds a whole new dimension to the world of online recruiting that benefits everyone involved in the industry. The U.S. market will benefit from Jobg8 as a resource for jobs as well as the revenue from supplying qualified candidates through the network. It is an innovation that adds a new level of efficiency to the internet recruiting industry."

The company currently operates an office in the UK and Australia and plans to expand to other countries in 2009.
