"NEC Display Solutions has built strong brand equity and expertise in the field of flat-panel displays and electronics over the years," says Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Abhigyan Sengupta. "This has been achieved by providing a comprehensive product and solution package wherein it not only offers a display system, but also software consulting, financing, system configuration, deployment services, maintenance, and logistics to deliver the complete architecture."
The company customizes its technology solutions to diverse customer needs. Since 2006, NEC has evolved into a general contractor, partnering with clients to provide a complete service solution that includes a large variety of displays and client server-based infrastructure that run digital signage systems through media engines.
NEC markets numerous types of display technologies for a range of end-user applications. These display types include 32 - 82-inch large-format displays for digital signage applications; 15" - 30" desktop liquid crystal display (LCD) displays for corporate, education, graphics, and medical applications that require unparalleled screen performance; and mobile, portable, and professional installation projectors for business and education applications that demand high-quality images and networking functionality.
"The NEC Digital Signage Lobby Solution is an all-in-one package designed to provide a cost-effective, turnkey solution that is highly flexible and easily editable," observes Sengupta. "The product system specifications include high-definition (HD) 40" NEC LCD display, integrated tuner for HD broadcast capabilities, SceneStudio Pro content management software, EscapeWire Solutions, and a Tripp Lite TLP606B power strip. NEC's Digital Signage Kit has the same components as the Lobby Solution, and offers the added flexibility of working with any of their 32 - 60-inch large-screen displays."
NEC offers financial options to its clients in the form of lease packages, as well as financing for the acquisition of the complete system. A client with large-scale requirements for digital signage displays can benefit tremendously from NEC's solution, as the overall display installation might include hundreds of display systems.
"NEC has successfully exploited its ability to provide new products and enhanced services, while capitalizing on its global footprint," observes Sengupta. "The company has also displayed an unparalleled ability to understand customer requirements and tirelessly service customized solutions, thereby delivering on customers' expectations."
