American Public University System Appoints Dean to School of Education

Dr. Bailey brings to APUS more than 20 years of valuable skills and experience as an educator. She most recently served as an assistant professor in the Department of Middle, Secondary and K12 Education at the

In addition to a public school teaching career, Dr. Bailey has experience at the university level training, supervising, mentoring, and guiding the preparation of hundreds of future educators. She has a research and publication record as well as leadership and participation in recognized national and international education organizations.
Dr. Bailey's research interests include: examining stakeholder responses to curriculum integration in the middle grades, theoretical underpinnings of curriculum integration, and literacy development in the middle grades.
