Have Road Blocks to Discipline Motorcyclists
Posted on: Monday, 4 July 2005, 00:00 CDT
EVERY year, a month before the festive season, we become concerned about
road accidents. We organise promotional campaigns and road shows on road
safety.
I feel this should be done regularly and not just during the festive
seasons.
I suggest that the district police have road blocks at least twice a
week at Taman Bukit Indah, Ampang. This is because between 4pm and 7.30pm
we see youngsters riding motorcycles without helmets.
A road block would be one way to curb this problem.
