Thousands of Mac users are already strengthening their auditory processing and memory capabilities with Posit Science Brain Fitness Program Classic(TM). Now Mac owners can use InSight's suite of five computer exercises to enhance their brains' visual processing and memory as well.
People's ability to take in and respond to what they see depends as much on the brain as the eyes. As people age, there is a decline in the speed, accuracy and strength with which the brain records visual information. With each passing decade, the brain processes a smaller central "spotlight" of visual information -- a focal area called the "useful field of view" (UFOV). It is the area from which you can extract information when looking straight ahead.
InSight speeds up and sharpens the brain's visual system and expands the useful field of view so that people see more and react faster to what's around them. For example, a driver might notice a child wandering into the street in time to brake more quickly than before using InSight. In fact, InSight has been proven to cut the risk of auto accidents by 50%.
"InSight represents the first time that Mac users have access to this
suite of technologies. InSight has been shown to have efficacy in more than
two dozen studies, including recent publications from the National Institutes
of Health-funded ACTIVE Study, which has tracked the performance of more than
2,800 adults for more than five years," said
