Software Company AOEware Launches Social Networking Tool BINDpoint

Posted on: Monday, 5 January 2009, 13:12 CST

PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Philadelphia-based software company AOEware, today announced the release of BINDpoint v2.0, a free social networking tool that enables people to quickly establish and participate in real time online communities.

"BINDpoint is the first online group-based chat client that allows users to connect to several communities simultaneously using a single interface," said AOEware co-founder Randy Herold. "We're really excited with its potential to bring people with common interests together, while also servicing those who want to discover new interests, in real-time regardless of where they are in the world."

While establishing new communities with BINDpoint, users can stay connected with existing colleagues, friends and family because BINDpoint integrates directly with many traditional social networking tools such as AOL, MSN, Yahoo, Twitter and Facebook.

BINDpoint users have several options for customization, including AOEware's patented nickname solution which allows users to maintain a unique identity with each community.

"The initial response to BINDpoint tells us that it's definitely what people have been waiting for in the evolution of social networking," Mr. Herold said. "The coming year will bring new BINDpoint releases and features, such as a mobile client, that will build and expand on what is currently in place."
