Xiotech Named a ‘Best Channel Vendor’ by Business Solutions Magazine

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ – Xiotech Corporation announced today that it has been named a 2009 “Best Channel Vendor” in the storage industry category by Business Solutions magazine. Xiotech and its Xcel Channel Partner Program are spotlighted in the magazine’s January 2009 issue in recognition of the incentives, sales resources, technical training and support which result in increased profit opportunities for the value added resellers (VARs) who sell Xiotech’s Emprise(TM) and Magnitude 3D(R) data storage solutions.

Award selections are based on voluntary feedback received from a Business Solutions magazine-sponsored survey of its subscribers, who are industry VARs. This Web-based survey was conducted in partnership with Penn State University to ensure statistical accuracy. Nearly 18,000 votes were cast by more than 1,600 verified subscribers, making the survey one of the largest of its kind.

Respondents were asked to rate their vendor partners on a scale of zero to five (worst to best) in seven categories: service/support; channel-friendly practices; channel program quality; product features; product reliability; product innovation; and adequate VAR margins. Overall scores were tabulated for each vendor by adding the cumulative scores of the seven categories and dividing by the number of VAR subscribers who rated them. The top 15 percent of vendors in each of 15 technology industry categories, according to their average scores, were awarded the “Best Channel Vendor” designation.
