ViXS XCode(TM) provides Media Processing For LaCie LaCinema Black Max Entertainment Center

TORONTO, Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ - ViXS Systems Inc., a leading developer of video processing solutions, today announced that LaCie, a leading manufacturer of computer peripherals for Windows, Apple and Linux users, is using the ViXS XCode(TM) 2100 Series video processor in its new LaCinema Black Max Entertainment center. Specifically, the XCode(TM) 2105 captures analog Audio/Video (AV) signals from all types of AV devices such as a Set-Top Boxes and digitizes the video for storage and time-shifting applications.

With the television now becoming a multifunctional entertainment device, consumers are now demanding full control over their video content. LaCie has addressed this need with its new entertainment center by offering an all-in-one experience for video entertainment management. By providing a centralized platform, the LaCinema Black Max product can help consolidate all other electronic video equipment attached to a consumers' TV set. With the following capabilities: record favorite TV programs, play back movies/photo/music, digitally store home movies and play media from networked computers; the LaCinema Black MAX Entertainment product represents a significant improvement over other entertainment center solutions currently in the market.
